Push

Our last backpacking session was all improv. that is, we really had no idea where to go, what to see and what to bring even to sleep that night…

when our homeless asses ran into  an arcteryx employee in downtown seattle, I told him our dilemma and didn’t think much of it because it was simply something to talk about. by happenstance he had recently got back from a 6-day backpacking trip on the coast of la push, third beach. he raved about it and that was that. all we needed to get was a bear canister and a permit and we were free to roam about in the jungle and the ocean.

la push, washington: third beach

impassible routes lead us up the steepest cliffs..
